How this works
This tool uses the standard QR code specification (ISO/IEC 18004) to encode your text into a grid of black-and-white modules that any phone camera or QR scanner app can read. The whole process — encoding, error-correction math, and rendering — happens with JavaScript running locally in your browser, so your content is never uploaded to a server.
No. This generates a "static" QR code — the content is encoded directly into the image itself, so it works forever with no dependency on this site staying online. Some other QR tools generate "dynamic" codes that redirect through their own server and can break if you stop paying them; this isn't that.
They trade code density for damage tolerance: Low can recover from about 7% of the code being damaged or obscured, Medium about 15%, Quartile about 25%, and High about 30%. Use High if you're printing the code somewhere it might get scratched or partially covered, like a sticker.
Not with this tool currently — a centered logo works because of the error correction margin, but needs careful placement to avoid breaking the scan. It's a reasonable feature to add in a future update.
